Regarded as one of the mostly visited, trekkers favorite and the most popular short trekking routes in Nepal, Poonhill trek has everything you can expect within maximum 7 days of hike. Starting from Birethati and following the dirt road to Hile, the trail on the first day walk gets you prepared for the mighty uphill to Ghorepani via Ulleri village where you get along with many other trekkers on the way. Walking in the dense rhododendron forest which is also the largest in the world, you never stop getting amazed within every bend, every corner and every narrow gorges of the streams. Early morning walk to poon hill is tough yet doable as some trekkers find it very hard due to the inclination on the 340 meters ascend- after all, it’s always worth it. Grabbing a cup of tea from the teashop at the view point and eagerly waiting for the sun to hit the mountains and taking as many photographs as possible as the color of the mountains change, is one of the best moments of this whole trek. The ups and downs to Tadapani and Ghandruk is moderately painful for the muscles and knees but the scenery you witness makes you endure this all. Ghandruk, the large village inhibited by Gurung people fascinate you with a breathtaking view of Annapurna, enchanting local culture and lifestyle as well as variety of lodging/ dining facilities offered by the villagers. You can extend the trek towards Landruk and Dhampus or you can opt for Jhinu dada where you can indulge into the natural hot springs to heal your muscles and bones. This trek is suitable for all generations; with family, friends, couples, travel buddies and of course solo to large groups.

Day 1 : Arrival To Kathmandu

The beautiful flight took you to home of Nature, culture and Mountain, Kathmandu valley with the view of Himalaya. Our representative will great you to airport and transfer to Hotel in Thamel.
Depending on your arrival time you can explore some of popular sights include Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swhyambhunath Stupa. If you come late then we will provide you a short trip around the famous marketplace in Kathmandu. We will suggest you the best dining places in the city with most authentic Nepali food or food of your preference. Before you go to sleep, you will be introduced to the guide and a detailed briefing will be presented as a part of preparation.
Day 2 : Drive Kathmandu To Pokhara, Evening Walk On The Shore Of Lake
Location: Pokhara Lakeside, Fewa Lake

Early morning your guide will meet you at your hotel corridor and will take you to bust stop for Pokhara. A 6-7 hours tourist bus drive take you through hills, Trishulai and Mashyangdi River, valleys and villages to Pokhara. Pokhara is Nepals most beautiful city with natural, cultural and heritage sites, lakes, caves, temples of Busshist and Hindus along with beautiful mountains.
An evening walk on shore fewa lake. Your guide will take you for dinner of your preference .
Day 3 : Drive To Nayapul And Trek To Tikhedhunga 1510M
Location: Tikhedhungga

After, having breakfast with sunrise over the Annapurna Mountain take a 90-minute short drive to Nayapul through the beautiful landscape .
And start our trekking to Tikhedhunga (1560M) via crossing the small village Birethanti (1055m.), You will trek passing through several villages and settlements, and ascend gently to the Tikhedhunga.
Day 4 : Trek To Ghorepanni (2,870M) From Tikhedhunnga
Location: Ghorepani

The trek start after crosses the suspension bridge over Tikhedhunga Khola and trails lead you to steeply climbed on a stone staircase. As you go forward you will pass typical villages, wide landscapes, ascending to Ulleri village. Enjoy the beautiful views of Mt. Fishtail, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. And continue trek through lush green Rhododndren Oak forest before reach to Ghorepani. Stay overnight at guest house.
Day 5 : Hike To Poon Hill View Point And Trek To Tadapani
Location: Tadapani, Poon Hill
Accommodation: Hotel, Lodge

Today is the most important day of this Ghorepani Poon Hill short trek. Early morning around 4 am, head up to Poon Hill for the amazing panoramic sunrise view. The sun shining over numerous peaks including Dhaulagiri, Dhampus Peak, Mt. Barahsikhar, massive Annapurna south, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli and fishtail etc.
After, sunrise back to hotel for breakfast and start trek towards Tadapni Village. The trail takes you up the hill through dense forest to Deurali and the descending to Tadapani Village. Overnight at Tadapani at Hotel.
Day 6 : Trek To Ghandruk From Tadapani
Location: Ghandruk

The day start with beautiful sunrise view from your room. After, breakfast your trek start towards Ghandruk. Ghandruk is beautiful traditional Gurung village and one of the best destinations for international tourist as well as domestic tourists for the ethnic culture and tradition. After the short and wonderful walk from Trapani you will reach to Ghandruk Village. The place still provide you a beautiful landscape and awesome mountains view with Annapurna south, Nilgiri, Machhapuchre, and Annapurna II. Stay overnight to Ghnadruk Village and experience the authentic Gurung culture dinner.
Day 7 : Drive To Pokhara From Ghandruk And Drive Back To Kathmandu
Location: Kathmandu, Pokhara, Naya Pul

After, breakfast your we will be drive back Pokhara. And after lunch at Pokhara drive back to Kathmandu.
